Rumour has it that Logan Paul could win the WWE Championship at King & Queen Of The Ring.
On SmackDown this past Friday night, WWE announced Logan as Cody Rhodes’ next opponent for its next PLE in Saudi Arabia. The match is Champion vs. Champion, with Cody defending his WWE Championship, and Logan defending his United States Championship. Therefore, the match is winner-take-all.
Now, the typical assumption is for the American Nightmare to win a title suitable for his nickname. Therefore, the expectation is: Cody dethrones the Maverick to hold both the WWE and US Championships. However, all is not as it seems.
What Is The Rumour?
The scuttlebutt is that Logan will leave Saudi Arabia as the new WWE Champion. One assumes the victory isn’t clean, with suggestions of the teased Wyatt 6 stable potentially targeting Rhodes in the near future. Could the Wyatt 6 cause Cody to slip on a banana peel and end up losing his championship to Paul?
From there, the obvious direction is Logan holding onto both prizes, particularly the WWE Championship, heading into SummerSlam. That is crucial because SummerSlam emanates from Cleveland, Ohio – the Maverick’s hometown.
Will Logan Paul Win The WWE Championship?
It’s a fanciful notion that could very well happen during the Vince McMahon era in WWE. But under Paul “Don’t Call Me Triple H Anymore” Levesque, such a swerve would please only Vince Russo. If anything, a no-contest is more feasible than Cody losing his WWE Title just seven weeks after completing his story. Therefore, we assume this scenario is very unlikely, and that Rhodes will defeat Logan to become Cody Two-Belts on 25 May. But never say never!
