There are rumours of when Roman Reigns intends to make his triumphant WWE return.
The Head Of The Table last appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 40. That was when Cody Rhodes defeated him for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Since then, Solo Sikoa has taken the mantle of “Tribal Chief”, telling Paul Heyman that Roman isn’t returning. Of course, since this is wrestling, that means Roman will make a comeback – but when?
What Is The Roman Reigns Return Rumour?
We know that Solo Sikoa will challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam on 3 August. Now, Sikoa having the “Bloodline 2.0” at his side gives him a decisive advantage for potentially defeating the American Nightmare. And sure, Randy Orton may stand in Cody’s corner on the night. But what if Cody receives unexpected help from a Big Dog?
The BIG rumour is that Roman Reigns will return in the closing moments of the main event at SummerSlam. Furthermore, he would assist Cody, if only via a cursory glance to distract Solo, in successfully defending his championship. From there, we get Roman vs. Solo to carry WWE through the autumn months, possibly all the way to WrestleMania 41.
Will Roman Reigns Return?
We believe there is an excellent chance that Roman shows his handsome Hollywood face on WWE screens at SummerSlam. Without question, Roman is returning, but if WWE waits too long, Solo’s hostile Bloodline takeover could lose momentum.
Therefore, Roman returning for the biggest PLE of the summer feels less of a “what if” and more of a certainty. As for Roman vs. Solo; don’t rule out the next Saudi Arabia PLE hosting his much-anticipated showdown. That could clear the way for Bloodline OG vs. Bloodline 2.0 under War Games at Survivor Series. And maybe, just maybe, Roman faces Jacob Fatu as a preview for Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at Mania 42?
